Basic Cruising Standard

Sail Canada certificate course

28 hours, minimum 18 hours on the water

Includes PCOC exam and license

Weekends or weekdays

$695 pp, plus HST

Introduction to Sailing

Sail Canada introductory course

4 hours of sailing

Includes review of fundamentals of sailing

Weekdays, evenings or weekends

$150 pp, plus HST

Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC)

Mandatory for all operators of boats with motors

2 hour theory review plus 45 minute exam

Evenings or weekends – call for schedule

$60 pp, plus HST

VHF Radio Restricted Operator Certificate (ROC)

5 hours including exam

Includes Digital Selective Calling (DSC) endorsement

2 evenings

Swans Sailing Club provides the opportunity for sailors to enjoy the pleasures of sailing, and to develop excellent seamanship skills in a friendly, safe and supportive atmosphere.

Swans provides Catalina 22 sailboats for your unlimited use with other members.

Annual membership is $1,200 plus HST,  or $300 per month.  Second family member is $800, or $200 per month.

Prerequisites:  PCOC license + Sail Canada Basic Cruising Standard or equivalent

Charters/Cruises
